In this module you will learn how System Center 2012 Service Pack 1 (SP1) has been enhanced to support Windows Server 2012 and SQL Server 2012 through simplified configuration and deployment of cloud applications. You will see the application delivery lifecycle for scalable applications that enables a standardized approach to deploying applications while defining availability and performance-driven SLAs. Next you will learn how to create applications through standardized service templates to enable a consistent approach to deploying applications across private and public clouds.

You will discover the benefits of Server App-V for abstracting the application from the OS, and understand how Application Performance Monitoring (APM) provides the ability to define desired performance levels for application built with .NET, MVC and WFC. You will then see how this monitoring extends to the public cloud with the Azure SDK and Global Service Monitoring (GSM), and that it also provides JEE monitoring on IBM Webshare, Oracle WebLogic, Redhat JBoss & Apache Tomcat. Finally see how the end-user can be empowered to deploy their apps while having visibility of quota utilization across applications running both on-premise and in other clouds.
