This technical session will discuss Hyper-V and Failover Clustering live migration, deployment considerations, licensing, upgrades, host clustering, guest clustering, disaster recovery, multi-site clustering, System Center Virtual Machine Manager, hardware and validation. What are the pros and cons of each virtualization? What's right for my customer and their scenarios? What about combining physical and virtual machines in the same cluster? This session will include a live demo setting up a Hyper-V Cluster and performing a live migration from scratch. About the speaker
Symon Perriman Symon Perriman started working in the software industry in 2002 and began working for Microsoft in 2006 for the storage division. In 2007, Symon joined the Clustering and High-Availability team as a Program Manager working on Failover Clustering and Network Load Balancing technologies. As a Program Manager II, Symon now own several areas of clustering focusing on deployment and management, the entire NLB product, and is the community lead and release manager for both technologies. Symon is also a MCEA, MCSA, MCITP and MSTS in several Windows Server & Microsoft technologies.
