Virtualization and Thin Clients in the Hands On Labs at MMS
A pretty significant change took place in the Hands on Labs at MMS this year, and Barry Shilmover took a break from what he was doing to show it to me.
This year, instead of all the virtual machines that comprise the labs being distributed to multiple workstations, all the labs are hosted in virtual machines in server racks, and instead of lab workstations, the clients are thin client devices.
Less power, more flexibility to make changes, and easier to deploy at the conference. Win all the way around!
