Microsoft Windows Server Update Services 2.0

Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS 2.0) is no longer supported. In order to continue to qualify for support, you must upgrade to WSUS 3.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1). Microsoft discontinued support for WSUS 2.0 with SP1 on April 30, 2009. Even though support for WSUS with SP1 has ended, we will still support its ability to distribute WSUS 3.0 SP1, so it can be used to update itself to the newest version of the server.

We recommend that you upgrade to WSUS 3.0 SP1, which supports updating a broader set of Microsoft products and provides more robust management and reporting features. WSUS 3.0 SP1 can be installed as an in-place upgrade on top of WSUS 2.0, preserving your existing information.
