Windows Deployment Command-Line Tools Reference

The Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (Windows ADK) includes the following command-line tools. Other command-line tools are available as part of the Windows operating system.

Commonly used command-line tools that are documented in the Windows online command-line reference include: DiskPart, BCDedit, and Server Manager command-line tools .

BCDboot Command-Line Options

Initializes the boot configuration data (BCD) store and copies boot environment files to the system partition during image deployment.

Bootsect Command-Line Options

Updates the master boot code for hard disk partitions to switch between Windows Boot Manager (Bootmgr.exe) and Windows NT Loader (NTLDR).

Expand Command-Line Options

Expands one or more cabinet (.cab) files.

Lpksetup Command-Line Options

Installs language packs and configures international settings.

Oscdimg Command-Line Options

Creates an image (.iso) file of a customized 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows PE.

Powercfg Command-Line Options

Controls power settings and configures computers to use hibernate or standby by default.

Tzutil Command-Line Options

Manages available time zones.
