What SP3 Contains

SP3 is a cumulative service pack that provides:

Before Installing SP3

Prior to installing SP3, be sure to:

1. Read the release notes for SP3 to ensure a successful SP3 installation.
   Warning: This service pack cannot be uninstalled.
2. Make a complete backup of all your Exchange Server data.

When installation is completed, make another complete backup of your Exchange Server data for your records.

Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 3 (SP3) is a cumulative service pack that gives you interoperability with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 domain controllers, customer fixes on reported issues, and updates based on the Microsoft Trustworthy Computing Initiative. You should download and install SP3 on all servers running Exchange 2000 Server.

Warning: Prior to installing SP3, read the following information:

1. Read the release notes for SP3 to ensure a successful SP3 installation. This service pack cannot be uninstalled.

Download

To download and extract the files:

1. Create a folder named SP3 on your local hard disk.
2. Download the EX2KSP3_server.exe file from this page into the SP3 folder.
3. In My Computer, open the SP3 folder, and then double-click EX2KSP3_server.exe.
4. In the Unzip To Folder dialog box, enter the location of the SP3 folder. Click the Unzip button.
5. When the self-extraction process is complete, click OK, and then click Close.

QFE Requests

You can submit Quick Fix Engineering (QFE) requests for Exchange 2000 Server SP3 and Exchange 2000 Server Enterprise Server SP3. Other than for security reasons, QFE requests for SP1 and SP2 are not accepted.
