Dmdiag Syntax

DmDiag Syntax

DmDiag uses the following syntax:

Art Imagedmdiag [/v] [/f FileName]

Parameters

  • /v
    Outputs verbose information. Verbose output includes the following fields: Computer Name and OS Version, LDM File Versions, Mount Points, Drive Letter Usage, Drive Type, Dynamic Disk Information, LDM Volume Information, Device Objects, DMIO Kernel List, LDM Disk Header HarddiskX, LDM Disk Config HarddiskX, LDM Disk KLOG HarddiskX, DMAdmin Simple Query, and DMAdmin Verbose Query.
  • /f FileName
    Specifies the file name for the output file. If omitted, the file name defaults to Dmdiag.txt.

  • By default, DmDiag output includes the following:

    Field Description

    Dynamic Disk Information

    Displays the disk group name and ID as well as the list of dynamic disks belonging to the group. For each disk the disk extents and the volumes to which these extents belong are displayed.

    LDM Volume Information

    Displays the list of dynamic volumes. For each volume the disk extents are displayed.
