Delegate Group Policy object linking

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To delegate Group Policy object linking

  1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers.

  2. Right-click the organizational unit to which you want to delegate the right to link Group Policy objects, and then click Delegate Control.

  3. In the Delegation of Control Wizard, click Next, and then click Add.

  4. In the Select Users, Computers, or Groups dialog box, enter the object name to select, and then click OK, and then click Next.

  5. On the Task to Delegate page, in Delegate the following common tasks, select the Manage Group Policy links check box, and then click Next.

  6. Click Finish.

Notes

  • To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the Domain Admins group or the Enterprise Admins group.

  • To open Active Directory Users and Computers, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Active Directory Users and Computers.
