VPN access

Select this option to configure the server running Routing and Remote Access to allow remote access clients to connect to the private network across the Internet. For more information, see What Is VPN?

Dial-up access

Select this option to configure the server running Routing and Remote Access to allow remote access clients to connect to the private network by dialing into a modem bank or other dial-up equipment. For more information, see What Is Dial-Up Networking?

Demand-dial connections (used for branch office routing)

Select this option to configure the server running Routing and Remote Access to initiate and receive demand-dial connections. For more information, see What Is Demand-Dial Routing?

NAT

Select this option to configure the server running Routing and Remote Access to share an Internet connection with computers on the private network and to translate traffic between its public address and the private network. For more information, see What Is NAT?

LAN routing

Select this option to configure the server running Routing and Remote Access to forward network packets from one LAN network segment to another. For more information, see Routing.
