Display Options dialog box

Use this dialog box to specify the time data and the protocols that you want to appear in the Frame Viewer window: Summary pane of the Frame Viewer window.

  • Time

    Specify how you want the time to display in the Time column of the Summary pane.

    • Time of day

      Display the system time at which the frame was captured (for example, 10:35:48.358).

    • Seconds from beginning of capture

      Display the time (in microseconds) that elapsed between the beginning of the capture and the capture of the frame.

      By default, this option is selected.

    • Seconds from previous frame

      Display the time (in microseconds) that elapsed between the capture of a frame and the capture of the frame that precedes it.

  • Summary Protocol

    Specify the protocol summary information that appears in the Protocol column of the Summary pane.

    • Last protocol in frame

      Display information about the final protocol that appears in the captured frame. By default, this option is selected.

    • Auto (Based on protocols in display filter)

      Display the protocol information that Network Monitor selects for you. The selection is based on the current display filter settings.
