Configure replication frequency within a site

To configure replication frequency within a site

  1. Open ADAM ADSI Edit.

  2. Connect and bind to the configuration directory partition of the ADAM instance for which you want to configure the replication schedule.

  3. In the console tree, double-click the connection, double-click the configuration partition, double-click the sites container (CN=Sites), and then click the site container in which the instance resides.

  4. In the details pane, right-click CN=NTDS Site Settings, and then click Schedule.

  5. In the Schedule dialog box, select the block of time that you want to schedule, and then click None, Once per Hour, Twice per Hour, or Four Times per Hour as the replication frequency.

  6. When you are finished updating the schedule, click OK.

Notes

  • To open the ADAM ADSI Edit snap-in, click Start, point to All Programs, point to ADAM, and then click ADAM ADSI Edit.

  • The replication frequency schedule ensures that ADAM instances within a site periodically check with one another to determine if any changes have occurred. Regardless of the replication frequency that is specified, ADAM instances continue to replicate changes through update notifications. For more information, see Related Topics.
