Creating a Forest Design

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

Creating a forest design involves first identifying the groups within your organization that have the resources available to host an Active Directory forest, and then defining your forest design requirements. Finally, you need to determine the number of forests that you require in order to meet the needs of your organization.

Figure 2.6 shows the process for creating a forest design.
