Configuring the IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console Connector

This topic describes the steps you must take to configure the IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console Connector.

When you installed the IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console Connector for Operations Manager 2007 R2, you completed an initial configuration. You can make advanced configuration settings by using the IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console Connector Configuration dialog box.

To configure the IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console Connector

  1. In the Administration navigation pane of the Operations Manager 2007 R2 console under the Product Connectors node is the Interop Connectors object. Under Interop Connectors, click IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console Connectors.

  2. In the results pane, right-click OpsMgr Connector for IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console, and then select Properties.

  3. Select the TEC Server tab to configure remote system servers for communications with the Connector.

  4. Select the Operations Manager tab to configure the Operations Manager 2007 R2 root management server (RMS) that communicates with the Connector.

  5. Select the Alert Fields tab to map Operations Manager 2007 R2 alert properties to IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console event properties.

  6. Select the Severity Mapping tab to map Operations Manager 2007 R2 severity levels to equivalent remote system settings.

  7. Select the Resolution State Mapping tab to map Operations Manager 2007 R2 resolution states to equivalent remote system settings.

  8. Select the High Availability tab to configure High Availability Operations Manager 2007 R2 Connectors or to monitor their availability.

  9. When all configuration parameters are set, click OK.
