Click Retail > Common > Pricing and discounts > Price adjustments.
Use this form to create and modify price adjustments. Price adjustments change the price of products in inventory. By contrast, discounts reduce the price of products at the point of sale when specific conditions are met.
The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Copy from |
Create a new price adjustment that is similar to an existing one. When you copy an existing price adjustment, the settings and products from the existing price adjustment are also copied to the new price adjustment. You can modify the information for the new price adjustment. |
Price groups |
Select the price group that the price adjustment applies to. This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 is installed. |
Add |
Add a single category, product, or variant to the price adjustment. |
Add products |
Add multiple products or variants to the price adjustment. |
Remove |
Remove the selected product from the price adjustment. |
Image |
Add an image to the price adjustment or the price adjustment line. |
Add all variants |
Automatically add a line for each variant that is available for the selected product. Notes This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed. |
Explode product |
Display a master product's variants. Notes This control is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed. |

Discount |
Enter the ID number of the price adjustment. The ID is automatically set only if number sequences are set up. |
Name |
Enter the name of the price adjustment. |
Status |
Select the status of the price adjustment, either Enabled or Disabled. Price adjustments can only be modified if they are disabled. |
Currency |
Select a currency for the price adjustment. |
Price group |
Select the price group for the stores that the price adjustment applies to. |
Description |
Enter a description of the price adjustment. |
Disclaimer |
Enter any disclaimer that is required. This disclaimer is used when the price adjustment is published through Sites Services for Microsoft Dynamics ERP. |
Deal price |
Enter the percentage of the price adjustment. |
Standard |
Select this option to specify an effective date and an expiration date for the price adjustment. |
Advanced |
Select this option to use a predefined discount period for the price adjustment. |
Effective date |
Specify the date that the price adjustment becomes effective. |
Expiration date |
Specify the date that the price adjustment expires. |
Discount period number |
Select the discount period in which the price adjustment is valid. |
Description |
The description of the discount period. |
Start date |
The start date of the discount period. |
End date |
The end date of the discount period. |
Category |
The product's category. |
Product |
The item number of the product. |
Product variant |
The ID number of the variant. |
Name |
The name of the product. |
Unit |
The unit of measure for the product. |
