SQL Distributed Management Objects (SQL-DMO) strings are always returned as OLE BSTR objects. A C/C++ application obtains a reference to the string. The application must release the reference using SysFreeString.
Notes
SQL Server Agent can be configured to forward events to another instance of SQL Server. Alerts defined on the SQL Server Agent running on the forwarded-event server are raised when a forwarded event is received.
