Restarting a Node

Applies To: Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003

The cluster administrator can restart one or more nodes remotely using the Compute Cluster Administrator. You can only restart a compute node that is not running any jobs.

To restart a node

  1. From the Compute Cluster Administrator, navigate to the Node Management page by clicking Node Management in the left-most navigation pane.

  2. In the central Details pane, select one or more nodes, right-click your selection, and select Pause.

  3. In the central Details pane, select one or more of the nodes you paused in the previous step and select Restart. This command will cause the selected node or nodes to restart.

  4. After the selected node or nodes have successfully restarted, right-click one or more of the restarted nodes and select Resume.
