To configure protocols for a protocol rule

  1. In the console tree of ISA Management, click Protocol Rules.

    For array policy, where?

    Internet Security and Acceleration Server > Servers and Arrays > Name  > Access Policy > Protocol Rules

    For enterprise policy, where?

    Internet Security and Acceleration Server > Enterprise > Policies > Enterprise Policy  > Protocol Rules

  2. On the View menu, select Advanced.

  3. In the details pane, right-click the applicable protocol rule and then click Properties.

  4. On the Protocols tab, do one of the following:

    • If the rule applies to all protocols, even those not explicitly defined by ISA Server, click All IP traffic.

    • If the rule applies only to protocols that you select in Protocol, click Selected protocols.

    • If the rule applies to all IP traffic except those selected, click All IP traffic except selected.

  5. If you chose Selected protocols or All IP traffic excepted selected, then in Protocols, select one or more protocol definitions.

Notes

  • To open ISA Management, click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft ISA Server, and then click ISA Management.

  • If the protocol definition that you want to specify does not exist, you can click New to create it, and then select it in the list.
