To Track Rights Account Certificates

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To perform this procedure, you must be logged on locally to the administration Web site with a domain user account that is a member of the Administrators group. As a security best practice, consider using Run as to perform this procedure.

This feature is available only on the root cluster; it is not available on a licensing-only cluster.

This procedure can only be used to estimate the number of use licenses, and is only useful if they are billable licenses. The number shown on the RM account certification report page is an approximation. If you have not updated the configuration database to delete users who are no longer active, this number will not be correct. Also, if you have users who have been issued multiple licenses in multiple forests, the additional licenses are not included in the number shown.
