To reset the home server password

  1. Open the Windows Home Server 2011 Dashboard.

  2. On the main navigation bar, click Computers and Backup.

  3. In the Computers Tasks pane, click Reset the server password. The Reset the Home Server Password Wizard appears.

  4. Type the existing home server password.

  5. Type a new password for home server, and then type the password again to confirm.

  6. Type a password hint that can help you remember what the password is in case you forget it.

    Note

    The hint is visible to all users on the network.

  7. Click Change password.
