Enable or Disable Calendar Control

Applies To: Windows Server 2008

Membership in the local Administrators group, or equivalent, is required to complete these procedures.

To enable calendar control

  1. Open Windows System Resource Manager.

  2. In the navigation tree, right-click Calendar, and then click Enable.

To disable calendar control

  1. Open Windows System Resource Manager.

  2. In the navigation tree, right-click Calendar, and then click Disable. Windows System Resource Manager Properties will open with Calendar set to Disabled.

  3. Review the management type and current resource allocation policy to confirm that you want to use the new settings.

  4. Click OK.

Additional considerations

  • To open Windows System Resource Manager, click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Windows System Resource Manager. In the Connect to Computer dialog box, select This computer, and then click Connect. Microsoft Management Console will start with the Windows System Resource Manager (Local) snap-in open.

  • If you enable calendar control, the calendar default resource allocation policy is automatically set to Managing unless another resource allocation policy is scheduled for the current time.

  • If calendar control is currently disabled, you can also enable it by clicking the Calendar - Disabled link on the Windows System Resource Manager start page.
