Network Diagnostics Framework (NDF) and Network Tracing

게시: 2009년 9월

적용 대상: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2

To assist users who are experiencing network connectivity issues, Microsoft introduced the Network Diagnostics Framework (NDF) in Windows Vista®. NDF is designed to simplify and automate many of the common troubleshooting steps and solutions for networking-related problems.

NDF is a set of technologies that allows a collection of troubleshooters to assist users to diagnose and, where possible, automatically correct networking problems. When a user experiences a networking problem, NDF provides the ability to diagnose and repair many common problems through diagnostics assessment. And in cases in which making an automatic correction is not possible, NDF is frequently able to provide the user with resolution to correct problems.

In Windows Server® 2008 R2 and Windows® 7, NDF functionality is extended by integrating with other new Windows 7 features, such as the Troubleshooting feature in Control Panel, network tracing using Event Tracing for Windows (ETW), and a new Netsh command line context, Netsh Trace, which provides advanced tracing capabilities.

Using Network Diagnostics Framework and Network Tracing to Troubleshoot Connectivity Problems

The guide, Using Network Diagnostics Framework and Network Tracing to Troubleshoot Connectivity Problems, provides conceptual information and example scenarios that demonstrate how you can use NDF to identify and repair many common connectivity problems.
