Click General ledger > Setup > Financial dimensions > Financial dimension sets.
Use this form to create and manage financial dimension sets that contain a financial dimension or financial dimension combinations. The main account is included, and can be combined with financial dimensions or can stand alone in a financial dimension set.
The order in which financial dimension sets are displayed determines how transactions are sorted and fields are printed on reports. For example, a financial dimension set that includes the Department and Cost center financial dimensions indicates that the Department financial dimension amounts should be displayed first on reports, and the Cost center financial dimension amounts should be displayed second.
To view current information in Role Center cubes, you must update the financial dimension balances by using this form. You can click the Update balances button to update the balances immediately.
The financial dimension sets that are defined can be used alone or in pairs when you view or report on financial transactions. You can select a primary and secondary financial dimension set. The secondary financial dimension set includes more details about the amounts in the primary financial dimension set.

The bar underneath the list displays the order of the selected financial dimension set. |

Rebuild balances |
This option deletes the account balances and recalculates them. Use this option only in the following situations:

Update balances |
Update existing account balances for the selected financial dimension set. This option adds the journal entries that were posted since the last time balances were updated, and then adds them to the balances. Use this option to update account balances on a routine basis. |
