This topic provides an overview of the DPM Administrator Console including a console tour that describes the DPM Administrator layout and explains where the controls for general tasks are located. The topic also includes a description of the five task areas of DPM Administrator Console (Monitoring, Protection, Recovery, Reporting, and Management) and their associated actions, and how to administer DPM both locally and remotely.

If you are a member of a group other than the Administrators group, such as Backup Operator, you will not have access to DPM Administrator Console.
