Microsoft Dynamics InformationSource is a site that provides a set of services and resources that are intended to help customers and partners analyze, design, configure and customize ERP solutions by following Microsoft Dynamics solution architecture recommended practices. You can access it with your PartnerSource or CustomerSource credentials.
The following tools are available for download from the Services section of InformationSource. Documentation for the tools is available on TechNet.

| Code Upgrade Service for Microsoft Dynamics AX Go to the services download page. Read the documentation: Code Upgrade Tool User Guide | The Code Upgrade Service for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is designed to assist Microsoft Dynamics AX developers upgrade their X++ code to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. The tool analyzes X++ code patterns and automatically fixes some patterns, provides suggestions for how to fix other patterns, categorizes upgrade tasks, and enables developers to add their own patterns to be analyzed. |
| Microsoft Dynamics AX Combine XPO Tool Go to the services download page. | Security Upgrade Advisor Tool for Microsoft Dynamics AX Go to the services download page. Read the documentation: Security Upgrade Advisor Tool User Guide | The Security Upgrade Advisor Tool helps customers and developers upgrade security settings from earlier versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. This service helps guarantee a quick and secure start on the new system by importing the existing security settings from user groups, main menu items, and associated access levels. The service is not intended to be a single-click solution for security upgrades. Instead, the service is intended to demonstrate one of many ways to upgrade security through an iterative process. The service helps developers reach the upgraded security baseline more quickly through automation. |

Core Concept documents and videos. This part of the library contains datasheets, slide decks, and videos about basic Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 concepts to help you understand key value propositions and key functionality.

Question and Answer (Q & A) Search. This part of the library contains common questions found on Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and recommended answers.
