How to Add an Infrastructure Server to VMM

Use the following procedure to add an Infrastructure Server to Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) in System Center 2012 R2.

To add an infrastructure server

  1. Open the Fabric workspace.

  2. In the Fabric pane, expand Servers, and then expand Infrastructure.

  3. In the ribbon, click Add Resources, and then click Infrastructure Server.

  4. In the Add Infrastructure Server wizard, perform the following:

    1. In the Computer name field, enter the FQDN of the computer that you want to add.

    2. In the Description field, enter a description of the services provided by the computer.

    3. In the Run As account field, click Browse.

    4. In the Select a Run As account wizard, select the run as account that has sufficient permissions to install the computer, and then click OK.

    5. In the Add Infrastructure Server wizard, click Add.
