TechNet-webcasts zijn live-uitzendingen van 60 tot 90 minuten met interactieve technische presentaties, productdemonstraties en vraag-en-antwoordsessies die worden gepresenteerd door een deskundige op het gebied van Microsoft-technologie, uit de industrie of beide. Forefront Edge-beveiliging (01 december)
Deze sessie geeft een overzicht van de features van Forefront TMG en Forefront UAG. Met behulp van de Stirling geïntegreerde beveiligingssuite en de geavanceerde beveiligingsfeatures van TMG kunnen organisaties geïntegreerde beveiliging implementeren die werkt in de realiteit. In deze sessie stellen we de voordelen van deze geïntegreerde oplossing voor en nemen we de talrijke features en de geavanceerde architectuur onder de loep. We gaan ook dieper in op de UAG-functies zoals directe toegang, publicaties van applicaties en verschillende authenticatiemethoden.

Beveiligingsverbeteringen in Windows 7 en Windows Server 2008 R2 (26 januari)
In deze sessie belicht Windows beveiligingsexpert Paul Loonen de essentiële beveiligingsfeatures van Windows 7 en het beheer ervan in een bedrijfsomgeving. Enkele van de vele verbeterde functies die in deze sessie aan bod komen, zijn de wijzigingen aan UAC, de Software Restriction Policies, de verbetering van Bitlocker, wat Managed Service Accounts zijn, welke verbeteringen er aan Kerberos werden aangebracht en hoe NTLM beperken.

Virtualization Day: Desktop of the future – notes from the field
HP is currently implementing the desktop of the future concept at De Persgroep. This session talks about how the different elements of the desktop of the future are mapped in a real case. It includes a discussion on how Windows 7 is being implemented (with some early lessons learnt), how SCCM 2007 is used to manage the environment and provides an insight on how MDOP (more specifically App-V) is used to ease the migration towards Windows 7 and at the same time provide quality support to the end user. The session concludes with some possible scenarios for the future.
