Configure or view outbound Internet e-mail options

Complete this task to configure additional settings that enable you to send e-mail over the Internet.

Note

Before you can view or configure options for outbound Internet e-mail, you must perform the Set up your Internet address task (if you have not already done so). For more information, see Setting up your Internet address
You must be a network administrator to complete this procedure.

To view or configure outbound Internet e-mail options

  1. Open the Windows SBS Console.

  2. On the navigation bar, click Network, and then click the Connectivity tab.

    The list view appears and displays information about your network connections.

  3. In the list view, click Smart Host for Internet e-mail.

  4. In the Tasks pane, click View outbound Internet e-mail properties. The Configure Internet Mail Wizard appears.

  5. Follow the instructions in the wizard to view or configure the following options:

    • The name of your Smart Host server.

    • The user name and password that are used to log on to your Smart Host server, if required.
