To specify your default printer

The default printer is used when you click Print on the File menu of many Windows-based programs.

  1. Open Printers and Faxes.

  2. Right-click the printer you want to use as the default printer, and then click Set as Default Printer.

    A check mark appears next to the printer icon in Printers and Faxes.

  • To open Printers and Faxes, click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes.
