Event ID 20059 — RASMAN Service Configuration

Applies To: Windows Server 2008 R2

Connection Manager is a client dialer and connection software program. You can customize it by using the Connection Manager Administration Kit (CMAK) wizard to create a service profile.

The Remote Access Connection Manager (RASMAN) service establishes the connection to the remote server.

Event Details

Product: Windows Operating System
ID: 20059
Source: RemoteAccess
Version: 6.1
Symbolic Name: ROUTERLOG_UNSUPPORTED_BPS
Message: The modem on: %1 moved to an unsupported bits-per-second (bps) rate.

Resolve

Set the bits per second rate value to a supported value

Try using a lower bits-per-second (bps) rate.

Slowing the speed of the modem can often help decrease noise on the phone lines. It can also help with compatibility problems when using high-speed modems (9600 bps and higher) that differ slightly in their compression and error-correction standards.

If the lower bps rate works, you may want to disable hardware flow control or modem compression.
