Session Outline

In this session we will look at the Windows PowerShell and Manageability Improvements in Windows Server 2008. To start we will introduce you to Windows PowerShell, and talking about its capabilities and features. We will then look at actually working with the shell, including command syntax, help system, and Exchange-specific cmdlets. Next, we will cover how you can convert your existing Visual Basic scripts you have for performing management tasks into more efficient Windows PowerShell scripts. Finally, we will cover some of the manageability improvements in Windows Server 2008 including new WMI providers, other command line tools, and remote management capabilities.
