Edit the properties of a role assignment within an application

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To edit the properties of a role assignment within an application

  1. Open Authorization Manager.

  2. In the console tree, right-click the role assignment that you want to edit, and then click Properties.

    Where?

    • Authorization Manager/Authorization store/Application/Role Assignments/Role assignment
  3. In the Properties dialog box, modify the settings that you want to change.

  4. (Optional) To edit the role definition upon which the role assignment is based, do the following:

    • In the Properties dialog box, click Show Definition.

    • In the Definition Properties dialog box, modify the settings that you want to change.

Notes

  • To open Authorization Manager, click Start, click Run, and then type: azman.msc

  • To perform this procedure, you need to use an authorization store that contains an application. For more information, see Related Topics.
