This page provides IT pros with resources to help deploy Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 to Windows Server 2008.

As of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 with Service Pack 1 (SP1), you can install Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and Office SharePoint Server 2007 on Windows Server 2008. You cannot install Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or Office SharePoint Server 2007 without service packs on Windows Server 2008.

If you have not yet installed Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or SharePoint Server 2007, you can install a version that already includes SP1:

• For Windows SharePoint Services, download Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 with SP1.
• For SharePoint Server, download the trial version of SharePoint Server 2007, and then upgrade from the trial version to the full product version. Read the blog entry for more information.
