Hotfixes for System Center Essentials 2007 can now be requested online
Hotfixes discussed in System Center Essentials Knowledge Base (KB) articles can now be requested online. KB articles discussing released hotfixes can be searched using the following step if a specific KB article number is not known:
- Within the Advanced search critieria at http://support.microsoft.com/search/?spid=12684&adv=1, enter KBQFE and click the Search button. You can also enter additional criteria keywords which may be relevent to the product feature or symptoms experenced (For example: KBQFE NOTIFICATION SUBSCRIPTION).
Once you have a KB article reference number, you can use this as the hotfix reference in the online submission form via the link below.
Hotfixes should only be applied to systems that are experiencing a specific problem described in the KB article (that mentions a hotfix). The hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by the problem described in the KB article, we recommend that you wait for the next service pack that contains the hotfix
You can submit a request to Microsoft Online Customer Services to obtain a hotfix. To submit an online request to obtain a hotfix, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=6294451
Note: If additional issues occur or any troubleshooting is required, you might have to create a separate service request. The usual support costs will apply to additional support questions and issues that do not qualify for a specific hotfix. To create a separate service request, see the Get Help from Microsoft section on the right.
