Enabling firmware console redirection

With firmware console redirection, your system can redirect text output to the out-of-band port.

Typically, you must enable firmware console redirection in the system firmware settings. Consult the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or the documentation that came with your computer for information about how to change the firmware settings.

It is preferable for a system to indicate its firmware redirection settings through the Serial Port Console Redirection (SPCR) table. For more information about this topic, see Enabling the SPCR table.

For more information about firmware console redirection, see Firmware console redirection.

For more information about possible firmware settings and setup procedures, see "Emergency Management Services" at the Microsoft Windows Resource Kits Web site.
