CGI Processes Will Not Start

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 with SP1

In order for CGI processes to run, the account that starts the CGI processes (the worker process identity) must be assigned certain user rights. You can add the account as a member of the IIS_WPG group and assign the account these two necessary user rights:

  • Adjust memory quotas for a process.

  • Replace a process-level token.

For information about assigning user rights to an account on the local computer, see CGI processes do not start.
