Set the Write permission for the FTP virtual directory

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To set the Write permission for the FTP virtual directory

  1. Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Information Services (IIS).

  2. In the console tree, double-click the server name.

  3. Double-click FTP Sites, double-click Default FTP Site, and then click PBSData.

  4. On the Action menu, click Properties.

  5. On the Virtual Directory tab, select the Write check box, and then click OK for the server to register the changes.

Notes

  • To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the local computer, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority. If the computer is joined to a domain, members of the Domain Admins group might be able to perform this procedure.

  • For enhanced security, set the Write permission only when you are about to post to the server, and then clear it immediately after posting.
