Enable secured remote read

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To enable secured remote read

  1. Open Computer Management.

  2. In the console tree, click Services and Applications.

    Where?

    • Computer Management/Services and Applications
  3. In the details pane, right-click Message Queuing, and then click Properties.

  4. On the Server Security tab, select Enable secured remote receiving. In this mode, only servers running Windows Server 2003 can receive messages remotely from queues on this computer, and then click OK.

Notes

  • To open Computer Management, right-click My Computer, and then click Manage.

  • To reset server security settings on this tab to the default settings following installation, click Restore Defaults.
