Sign-up Files

On this page of the Windows® Internet Explorer® Customization Wizard 8, if you are an Internet service provider and want to include sign-up in the custom package, you must specify the path to the directory that contains the sign-up files to include in the package. As part of this process, you must already have created a file that contains information about your service. The file is Icwsign.htm for server based sign-up if you are using the Internet Connection Wizard, and is Signup.htm for server-based kiosk mode or serverless (client-based) sign-up.

For more information about these files and preparing for sign-up, see Prepare for Internet Sign-up.

Important

The Internet sign-up option is not available for the Windows Vista® operating system.

Item Details

Working directory text box

The Sign-up Files page displays the working directory for the sign-up files. To use already configured sign-up files, browse to the location of the files and click Copy Files to copy them to the working directory. You can also use the sample files provided in the Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) Toolkit located in the <systemdrive>:\Program Files\Windows IEAK 8\toolkit\isp\Server folder and subfolders.

Important
All sign-up files, including graphic files, must be saved in the same folder and you must have full read-write access to this folder. This is because the Internet Explorer Customization Wizard 8 must change the attributes of all files to read-write.
