Bluetooth (Compact 2013)

3/26/2014

Bluetooth wireless technology enables communication between devices that are within range of each other. The discovery process enables devices to query other devices about the services they offer. If a device offers more than one service, the user can select the services they want to use from that particular device.

You can use Bluetooth wireless technology to connect your device to:

  • A cellular phone audio gateway.
  • A personal area network (PAN).
  • A Bluetooth keyboard or mouse.

Windows Embedded Compact 2013 supports Bluetooth Core Specification v2.1 + EDR. For more information about Bluetooth technology, see the Bluetooth SIG web site.

To add this feature to your OS, see Bluetooth Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables.

Sample application code is available at Samples for Implementing Bluetooth in an OS and Bluetooth Application Development Samples.
