Example: Mount an Inaccessible Fault Tolerant Disk

In this example, you install a product from Windows Server 2003 and discover that a mirrored partition containing company data is assigned a letter, but is inaccessible. You look in Disk Administrator and see that it is labeled e:. To recover the data, type the following:

ftonline e:

This mounts the disk as a read-only volume, enabling you to back up the data. Once you back up the information, delete the volumes and recreate them as dynamic volumes, then restore the data from the backup.
