BOM line (form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click Product information management > Common > Product builder > Product models. Select a product model line, and then click Open. In the Product model form, in the lower pane, right-click the Modeling tree node, point to New, and then click BOM node.

Note

This information applies only to Product builder.

Use this form to set up value assignments for the fields that appear on the lines of bills of materials (BOM). Use the Allocation of section at the top of the form to specify whether the value of the current field is determined by a variable or by a value.

Note

If more than one line is entered, the lines are split into separate BOM line nodes in the modeling tree after the BOM line form is closed. Lines that are entered in this manner must use the same assignment method for the same data field on all lines. These lines can be either Value or Variable lines. If you must enter BOM lines that use different assignment methods for the same data field, handle the lines as separate BOM line nodes instead.
