Line properties (form)

Click Project management and accounting > Setup > Line properties > Line properties.
Use this form to set up line properties. A line property assigns individual attributes, such as chargeable, nonchargeable, efficient, or nonefficient, to posted transactions.

Open the Project/group line properties form to set the line property defaults per project and category. |

Line property |
The line property identifier. The line property identifier is limited to 10 characters but should reflect the purpose of the line property. For example, if transactions that designate a specific line property become chargeable, you may want to name the line property Chargeable. |
Name |
Enter a descriptive name for the current line property. The name can be up to 60 characters long. |
Chargeable |
Select this check box if transactions with this line property can be invoiced. The Chargeable line property applies to time-and-material projects only. |
Accrue revenue |
Select this check box if accrued revenue can be posted to transactions with this line property before invoicing. Posting accrued revenue applies to time-and-material projects only. Note If you select a line property other than Chargeable but select the Accrue revenue check box, revenue will not accrue. This is because the line property setting takes precedence over the accrue revenue setting. |
Capitalize cost |
Select this check box if costs can be capitalized to balance accounts when transactions with this line property are posted. Capitalizing costs to balance accounts can be applied to time-and-material projects, fixed-price projects, investment projects, and internal projects. |
Cost percentage |
Enter the percentage to be added to the original cost price. This applies to project hour transactions only. |
Sales percentage |
Enter the percentage to be added to the regular sales price. This applies to project hour transactions only. |
On invoice |
Select this check box to display transactions that have a sales line amount of 0 (zero) on the printed invoice proposals and invoices. |
On quotation |
Select this check box to display transactions that have a sales line amount of 0 (zero) on the printed quotation. |
Efficient hours |
Select this check box to count the transaction hours as efficient when you calculate the utilization rate. This applies to project hour transactions only. |
Add to norm hours - billable rate |
Select this check box to add these hours as overtime to the norm hours when you calculate the utilization rate for billable hours. |
Add to norm hours - efficient rate |
Select this check box to add these hours as overtime to the norm hours when you calculate the utilization rate for efficient hours. |
