Human resource parameters (form)

Click Human resources > Setup > Parameters > Human resources parameters.

Use this form to set up Human resources parameters. The parameters are grouped into areas according to their overall use.

Description

General

Specify absence color codes, report style sheets, course settings, and injury and illness settings for Human resources.

Recruitment

Specify document management settings, recruitment project settings, and employment application storage settings for Human resources.

Compensation

Specify whether to show a warning before saving information for a compensation plan. If you are using performance management, you also can select a rating model to use.

Number sequences

Define number sequences for automatic consecutive numbering of new records, regardless of whether the records are created automatically or manually.

Open absence transactions

Select a color to apply to open absence transactions.

Integration to absence?

Select this check box to generate absence transactions when a course participant is confirmed in course. To do this, you must select an absence code. This also controls whether you can create absence requests for courses.

Absence code

Select the absence code to use to control absence registrations for confirmed course registrations.

Note

This field is available only if you select the Integration to absence? check box.

Keep case incidents

Select this check box to retain injury and illness records for a specific number of days.

Number of days

Enter the number of days to keep injury and illness records.

Note

This field is available only if you select the Keep case incidents check box.

Word document type

Select a document type to use when you create letters to applicants.

E-mail document type

Select the document type to use when you send email messages applicants.

Unsolicited

Select the recruitment project that will be associated with unsolicited applications for employment.

Period

Enter the number of units of time to use for calculating the expiration date of applications.

For example, if applications should expire after only one month, enter 1 in this field and select Months in the Unit field.

Unit

Select the unit of time to use for calculating the expiration date of applications.

For example, if applications should expire after only one month, enter 1 in the Period field and select Months in this field.

Type

The compensation type that is used for Human resources. The default value in this field is Annual. You cannot modify this field.

Enable save validation?

If you select this check box, a validation form opens when a user saves information that they have entered in a form within compensation management. Some forms within compensation management do not let users delete information. Therefore, prompting the user to verify that they want to save information might help limit the amount of information that is saved, but then cannot be deleted later.

Rating source

Select the type of rating model to use in Human resources.

Warning

If your company or organization uses a pay-for-performance compensation strategy, select Compensation in this field.

Rating

Select the rating model to use in Human resources.

Note

This field is available only if you selected Competency in the Rating source field.

Reference

The type of identifier that uses the specified number sequence. The next number in the sequence for the selected reference is assigned as a unique ID when a new record is created.

Number sequence code

Select the Number sequence code that is associated with the reference.

Click Organization administration > Common > Number sequences > Number sequences.
