Click Project management and accounting > Setup > Validation > Worker/project validation groups.

Use this form to create groups that combine workers and projects for validation.

The validation setup:

Controls access limitations. The groups that you set up in this form define which projects are available for different workers.
Must be enabled or disabled for the entire company through the Validation parameter setup in the Project management and accounting parameters form.
Allows for individual workers to be exempt from validation through settings in the Project setup form.
Is applied throughout Microsoft Dynamics AX, such as when entries are registered in hours, cost and inventory journals; in timesheets and expense reports; and so on.

Filters

Filter	Description
Show	Choose whether to display all workers or projects, or only those that are still active.
Legal entity	Select the legal entity for which you want to view workers. If your legal entity is borrowing workers from another legal entity for project work, you can add those workers to the validation groups that you create. Note This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack is installed.

Tabs

Tab	Description
Worker	Select the workers to be included in the active Worker/project group by selecting a worker in the Remaining workers area and then clicking the left arrow. The selected worker is added to the Selected workers area. Remove an worker from the validation group by selecting a worker in the Selected workers area and then selecting the right arrow. The selected worker is moved to the Remaining workers area.
Projects	Select the projects to be included in the active Worker/project group by selecting a project in the Remaining projects area and then clicking the left arrow. The selected project is added to the Selected projects area. Remove a project from the validation group by selecting s project in the Selected projects area and then selecting the right arrow. The selected project is moved to the Remaining projects area.

Worker

Select the workers to be included in the active Worker/project group by selecting a worker in the Remaining workers area and then clicking the left arrow. The selected worker is added to the Selected workers area.

Remove an worker from the validation group by selecting a worker in the Selected workers area and then selecting the right arrow. The selected worker is moved to the Remaining workers area.

Projects

Select the projects to be included in the active Worker/project group by selecting a project in the Remaining projects area and then clicking the left arrow. The selected project is added to the Selected projects area.

Remove a project from the validation group by selecting s project in the Selected projects area and then selecting the right arrow. The selected project is moved to the Remaining projects area.

Fields

Field	Description
Worker/project	Enter a short, unique ID for the worker/project validation group.
Name	Enter a name for the validation group.
Selected workers	A list of workers who have been added to the selected validation group.
Remaining workers	A list of workers who are available to be added to the selected validation group.
Selected projects	A list of projects that have been added to the selected validation group.
Remaining projects	A list of projects that are available to be added to the selected validation group.
