Description

Master plan

Select the master plan that you want to use in the calculation.

Principle

Select the master scheduling method to use. The following options are available:

  • Regeneration – Delete existing planned orders, and generate new planned orders based on all known requirements.

  • Net change – Generate planned orders that cover only requirements that were created or changed since the last master scheduling run. However, action dates and futures dates are updated for all requirements. This option is available only if you calculate a dynamic master plan.

  • Net change minimized – Generate planned orders that cover only requirements that were created or changed since the last master scheduling run. Action dates and futures dates are also updated only for new or changed requirements. This option is available only if you calculate a dynamic master plan.

Track process task duration

Select this check box to record the processing time for each task for master planning. You can use the records to analyze the efficiency of the planning process and adjust the scheduling helper parameters.

Note

Use of this option affects the performance of master scheduling. Therefore, use this option only to fine-tune the planning process.

Item number

Number of helpers

Enter the maximum number of scheduling helpers that you want to use. The actual number of helpers that is used depends on the number of available batch threads among the batch servers.
