Issue search (Lifecycle Services, LCS) [AX 2012]

Updated: September 8, 2014

In Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services, Issue search is a search engine that you can use to quickly search for KB articles, hotfixes requested by customers and partners, proactive fixes, regulatory features, and workarounds for reported issues. You can also see which reported issues are in the process of being fixed. You can download released hotfixes, see which code objects are affected, and see the code changes introduced by the hotfix.

You can use Issue search to search for product issues, and determine whether an issue has been resolved, is open, or has a workaround. You can also search for regulatory features, and determine whether a feature is available or planned in a future release, and find regulatory whitepapers, certifications, and registrations for Microsoft Dynamics AX.

  1. Go to Lifecycle Services.

  2. Select a project to work in.

  3. Click the Issue search tile.

  4. Enter search terms to use Issue search. You can enter a keyword or group of keywords, or KB number. You can also use the $ to indicate an AOT object path in the format $\ObjectType\Object or $\ObjectType\Object#Method. For example:

    $\Classes\Tax#Save

Standard search operators such as AND and OR are supported.

You can filter the results list for resolved or open issues, workarounds, issues that will not be fixed or postponed, and by the version of Microsoft Dynamics AX. You can change the ordering from relevance to date ascending or date descending, and version ascending or version descending. By default all status and product version filters are selected.
