Language packs

Office SharePoint Server 2007 language packs allow for SharePoint sites and site collections to be created in languages other than English. Language packs are installed on Office SharePoint Server front-end Web servers before you run the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard.

Following language are supported in the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 environment:

  • Brazilian

  • Chinese Simple

  • Chinese Traditional

  • Czech

  • English

  • French

  • German

  • Hebrew

  • Italian

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Polish

  • Russian

  • Spanish

  • Thai

Once a language pack is installed, a language drop-down box is presented on the site collection and site creation screens that lets the user choose the language that the site should support.
