Override permissions (form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click System administration > Setup > Security > Security roles. Select a role, and then click Override permissions.

Use this form to override the access level for a role to a securable object.

By default, access to securable objects is specified by the duties and privileges that are assigned to a role. When you override the access level for a role to a securable object, the duties and privileges that are assigned to that role are not changed. When the override is applied, the access level to that object is set for that role, regardless of the access levels that are specified by the duties and privileges that are assigned to that role.
