Rate products and vendors

When you order items and services from the procurement catalog in the Employee services portal, you can view ratings that workers have entered for products and vendors. You can also enter a review for other requesters to see.

You can add a user rating or comment to a product or vendor only if user ratings and comments have been configured for the procurement site. Each organization sets its own standards for evaluating vendor performance. Each organization also determines the procurement categories and products for which employees are required to enter evaluations.

Note

Depending on your role or the privileges that are assigned to you, you might need to go to your Employee services site before you complete the procedures in this topic.

Rate a product

  1. Click Order Products on the top link bar.

  2. On the Order products page, use the search field to find a product, or click a category on the Quick Launch.

    If ratings have been entered for the product, the average rating is displayed in the Rating column in the Products tab.

  3. In the Products list, click the product that you want to rate or comment on.

  4. On the Product details page, on the User reviews FastTab, click the Add a rating or a comment link to add a rating or a comment. You can also review ratings or comments that others have entered for the product.

  5. On the Rate and Comment page, select the number of stars to indicate your rating of the product. The star rating scale is as follows:

    • 5 stars – Excellent

    • 4 stars – Very good

    • 3 stars – Average

    • 2 stars – Below average

    • 1 star – Poor

  6. To add a comment, in the Title field. enter the title for your comment. Then in the Comment field, enter a comment. Select the Show my user ID check box if you want your user name to be displayed with the review comment. Clear this check box if you want the review to be anonymous.

Rate a vendor

  1. Click Order Products on the top link bar.

  2. On the Order products page, use the search field to find a product, or click a category on the Quick Launch.

  3. Click the Vendors tab.

    If a purchasing agent for your organization has rated a vendor, the average rating is displayed in the Specialist rating column. If users have entered ratings for the vendor, the average rating is displayed in the Rating column.

  4. On the Vendors tab, click the vendor number for the vendor that you want to rate or comment on.

  5. On the Vendor details page, on the User reviews FastTab, click the Add a rating or a comment link to add a rating or a comment. You can also review any existing ratings or comments that others have entered for the vendor.

  6. On the Rate and Comment page, select the number of stars to indicate your rating for the vendor. The star rating scale is as follows:

    • 5 stars – Excellent

    • 4 stars – Very good

    • 3 stars – Average

    • 2 stars – Below average

    • 1 star – Poor
