Create a product configuration template

A configuration template is a completely or partially configured product configuration model. Configuration templates can save time when you configure variations of a product or want to promote a particular product variant. For example, when you configure a sales order line, you can load a configuration template, and the configuration settings are included.
The following steps describe how to create a product configuration template.
Click Product information management > Common > Product configuration models.
Select the product model to create the configuration template for, and then click Configuration templates on the Action Pane.
In the Configuration templates form, click New on the toolbar.
In the Name field, enter a name for the configuration template.
In the Description field, enter a description of the configuration template.
Click Modify, and then select the configuration options for the configuration template.
Optional: You can make the configuration template available by selecting the Active check box in the Configuration templates form.
